Before your consultation

You complete a health questionnaire. Please list every medication and supplement, and any previous cosmetic treatment you have had.

Your consultation
A practitioner assesses the area you are concerned about, explains the options including no treatment, and talks you through the risks and recovery. Where a prescription-only treatment is being considered, a medical practitioner is involved in that decision.

If you decide to go ahead
Treatment is booked as a separate decision. You receive written aftercare information and know who to contact if anything concerns you afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are cosmetic treatments risk-free?
No. Every cosmetic procedure carries risks, and some people are not suitable for treatment at all. The common effects, the less common complications and the warning signs to act on are set out on our risks and safety page, and your practitioner goes through the ones relevant to you before anything is decided.
What happens at a first consultation?
It is an assessment, not a treatment appointment. A practitioner takes your health and medication history, assesses the area you are concerned about, explains what is and is not realistic, and discusses risks, recovery and alternatives, including doing nothing. Who will I see?
A registered nurse or our medical practitioner. Their names and Ahpra registration numbers are listed on this page and on our team page, and you can check any of them yourself on the Ahpra public register.
Can I be treated on the same day as my consultation?
Sometimes, and sometimes not. It depends on the treatment, your health history and whether a prescription decision is involved. Taking time to think is always an option, and you should never feel pressured to decide on the day.
How long do treatments last?
It varies by treatment, by area and by person, and no duration can be promised. Your practitioner will explain what is typical for the specific treatment being discussed, and what happens as it wears off.
